How do I stop my dog from barking when the doorbell chasing and biting me to the door or not.
My corgi now 8months old and has a habit of barking doorbell. He also chases after me trying to bite me while I get to the door. I do not use the clicker for training and I need to practice. His barking drives me mad and when he. bites are actually suffering. anyone know how to stop my dog's unruly behavior?
Months to 8 hmm … well a small bit more difficult but still a small puppy. hes should be fairly easy first. You must have 2 people training your dog not to bark at the door. Daily practice with your dog should work. OK 1. A person who is helping. You stand outside and ring bell train. 2. After he barks once or twice in that one quiet voice. (This helps dogs do what they want to be a natural to be notified. Intruders in his territory, which sometimes is good). 3. Do not open the door until the bark had fallen completely. 4. In the dog, you will realize you can not open the door. He will be quiet until 5. When the door opened slowly to stop barking. 6. If he starts again close the bay door and the dog is quiet again. 7. Repeat until someone can make it fit inside. By your dog bark. When the door is closed and quiet dogs are taught how to do this when people come over,. Good things happen instead of when someone came over to my alarm. And protect my domain. Although your dog to completely ballistic when the door bell ring tactic this training. It takes sometimes a few weeks of training. But it works. With you and your partner's training practices. 2 to 3 times at different days if possible.
